Full red leather binding with gilt ruling and floral design to both boards, gilt emblem from the Grammar School of Queen Elizabeth to upper board, five raised bands to the spine with gilt darts, lettering and beautiful floral design to each band, gilt dentelles to inner boards, top edge gilt and silk head and tail bands. A beautiful near fine copy with slight rubbing to corners but overall fresh, clean and bright. Rough page edges with some pages still unopened and a few with small nicks to the bottom edge and about 10-12 pages and one plate with closed edge tears, not affecting text. Overall clean and fresh inside. Prize plate to front inner board and armorial bookplate to ffep.
